Frequently Asked Questions

No referral is required to schedule a consultation. Many patients self-refer after noticing symptoms or being told by a previous dentist that they needed a periodontist. That said, many patients do come through their general dentist, and we coordinate closely with referring providers.

Tell us. Dental anxiety is common, and there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Dr. Ghadri takes time to explain what he’s doing and why. If you’d like, bring headphones and listen to music during the procedure. For significant anxiety, discuss sedation options with us when you call to schedule.

It is most common to be seen every 3 months in our office for the first year of your periodontal care.

We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule hygiene appointments or follow-up appointments. For surgery appointment changes, we ask for 5 days’ notice. This allows us to offer the time to another patient who may be waiting. Repeated no-shows may result in being asked to prepay for future appointments.
